New York City

Had a great weekend in NYC. Flew up for free on US Airways and got some great points by staying at the Comfort Inn Central Park. Great place to stay, great service and a great Italian Reasturant at the end of the street that got rated best meatball in NYC. Went to the MET, MOMA, Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, Time Square, Macy's and more. Happy birthday to my wife, we had a great tip.

I have discovered time and again that when we ask for God’s help and then take action, knowing in our hearts that He is watching over us, there is no reason to be fearful. My parents taught me this, mostly in the way they lived each day. They are the greatest examples of faith in action I have witnessed.
Though I arrived on this earth missing, as my mother says, “a few bits and pieces,” I am blessed in many, many ways. My parents have always been there for me. They did not coddle me. They disciplined me when I needed it and gave me room to make my own mistakes. Most of all, they are wonderful role models.
I was their first child and definitely a surprise package. Despite doing all the usual maternity tests, my mother’s doctor detected no indication that I would come into the world with neither arms nor legs. Kindle Fire HD

Am tempted to get the Kindle Fire HD at Staples or Office Depot this week. I have been in the market for one, but have been looking for the right deal and I think this might be it. Price is listed at $200 with a $20 instant rebate store credit at time of purchase. If I buy the Kindle I get a 5X points with my Chase Ink card 1,000 points, great! Then with the $20 rebate I can hopefully get a gift card that I can use somewhere else or use it for craft supply's for my kids as stocking stuffers at Christmas.

$50 of Free Money

Today I picked up a $50 dollar bill on the side of the road. I went to look at a garage sale at a neighborhood across from mine and someone had a nice maple table in the driveway with a free sign on it. I grabbed it and sold in to a dealer I know for $50 within a few hours. Love free money!!!

Had a good day making miles, paid both business and personal utilitie bills with my Chase Ink credit card. Personal paid my water bill $115.00 and power $135.00 Business water bills of $850.00 and $25.00 Total of $1,125 in points which go towards my $10,000 of spending in 3 months to get 25,000 points.
